Clinical Psychologist

Micaela (she/her) is a Clinical Psychologist who focuses on understanding the whole person rather than someone’s issues in isolation. She likes to work collaboratively with her clients to develop a shared understanding of what brought them to treatment. She prides herself on being able to create a space where everyone can feel safe in their vulnerability.

Micaela has worked across public, private and NGO mental health settings. She has experience with a wide variety of mental health presentations, and has specific training and expertise in the field of trauma. She takes an experiential approach to treatment which helps her clients re-enact, express, or physically experience their emotions. Micaela does this by using a combination of treatment modalities such as Schema Therapy (ST), Eye Movement De-sensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

Micaela’s fee is $280 per 50-minute individual session. For appointments out of standard business hours a $40 surcharge applies for all appointments.
