Jesse Jasper

Clinical Psychologist

Jesse (he/him) is an AHPRA-registered clinical psychologist with a relaxed, collaborative approach to therapy. Jesse has a background in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and uses this as a foundation to tailor the right therapeutic approach to each individual he works with, drawing on elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Schema Therapy. Jesse has considerable experience working with children, adolescents, and families facing significant social and psychological adversity. He works with clients to think about how life development and history contribute to difficult patterns in their lives, and what that means when planning for change.

Specialties

Jesse spent his early career working with people experiencing severe mental health challenges and concurrent significant social disadvantage. He specialises in building a shared understanding of the messy knot of things that contribute to challenging behavioural and experiential patterns, and making plans to encourage change in these areas. He currently works with older adolescents and adults (15+), but draws on his experience in the child and adolescent space to consider history and development with respect to present day challenges.
